The Varsity Wrestling team won the 4th annual Richmond Alumni Duals, going 5-0 on the day with wins over Lincoln Park, Lamphere,Holly, Chippewa Valley, and Anchor Bay.

It was a busy week for the RHS Competitive Cheer team. On Wednesday, they hosted 6 BWAC schools and took second. On Saturday, they won the Rochester Invitational.

Congratulations, All-State Clarinetist Claire Reinhard! Claire earned first chair in the 2024 MSBOA All-State Middle School Band and performed Saturday, January 27 in Grand Rapids during the Michigan Music Conference. This is a tremendous honor and the band sounded fantastic. Thank you, Claire, for representing Richmond Bands with pride!


Earlier this week, RMS Builders Club worked hard to make handmade tie blankets, which will be donated to Children’s Hospital. Thank you to the Metro Detroit Young Professionals Kiwanis for sponsoring this fun service project!

Road conditions and temperature forecast have not improved, Richmond Community Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Exams scheduled for Wednesday will be moved to Thursday.
As of now, Richmond Community Schools will be OPEN on Wednesday, January 24th. However, the rain and temperatures and their impact on back roads are being monitored. If the weather forecast or road conditions change, you will be notified as soon as possible. Please have a "Plan B" if schools are closed.
Fifth grade students from Mrs. Hutchinson’s class had a ton of fun at their Macaroni Car Derby last week in STEAM class! They worked really hard on their cars testing, and rebuilding to figure out what works, what makes them go further, what makes them go faster, etc. Mrs. Gibson is so proud of all their hard work!










The first meet was a success for the RHS Powerlifting Team!
In addition to over 20 Blue Devil competitors, JV lifters Jordyn Jones, Ryley Pastuschyn, Sophia Jackson, and Leah Dimmabro punched thier tickets to the State Championships later this winter.

Varsity Wrestling brought home the gold from the Fenton Duals on Saturday. They scored wins over Fenton, Midland Dow, Clio, Ann Arbor Huron, and South Lyon.

Based on the weather forecast of rain and snow coupled with temperatures and windchills below freezing, Richmond Community Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. The middle and high school exams scheduled for Tuesday, will be moved to Wednesday when staff and students are scheduled to return.

6th grade Algebraic Thinking students completed a quiz quiz trade with each other on graphing inequalities.
