
Mrs. Schodowski and Ms. Fitzgerald’s classes today at STARBASE created a chemical reaction/ Karrrrrrrl’s toothpaste,built geospheres in CAD, learned about the Periodic Table of Elements, and created molecules using an app called Happy Atoms.











5th graders in Mrs. Buchanan’s class completed a science investigation to figure out which combination of substances would create chemical reactions. They even discovered that some of the combinations created goo!











Mrs Hutchinson's class used chromatography to see who stole the cookies, finished Blinky Cards (circuit building), and completed a simulated space mission. The highlight of the day was definitely the space shuttle simulation. Students were assisted by Mission Control to safely land the shuttle.








6th grade students in Mr. Burg and Ms. Churchill’s Social Studies classes completed projects on countries from their ancestry. They researched the country and shared artifacts that represented different cultural elements.

Students in Ms. Gallagher’s STEAM class presented their foot orthosis design challenge prototype to their classmates. Students were given the problem to design a foot orthosis for a child with cerebral palsy. Then they had to market their design and create a PowerPoint presentation to sell their product.

WEB Leaders made Valentine's cards during our monthly meeting for the fourth graders.


WEB Leaders surprised the fourth graders on Valentine's Day by popping into their classes. WEB Leaders delivered Valentine's cards and a special treat to each fourth grader.

The RHS Competitive Cheer team placed 4th in a very tough District. They earned their highest Round 3 score of the season and will compete next Saturday at Novi.

5th graders in the Buchanan/Schodowski/Fitzgerald homerooms had their first day of Starbase today. They learned about teamwork, Newton’s First Law of Motion, the engineering design process, and the periodic table of elements.







6th grade algebraic thinking students used color coding to help identify the parts of algebraic expressions.
