This Week in Blue Devil Athletics


On their final day of Starbase, 5th graders on the Buchanan/Fitzgerald team had the opportunity to tour and see a presentation from the U.S. Customs and Border control. They also built lunar modules on CAD, watched Hubble 3D movie, met Daisy the robot, and had their official Starbase graduation ceremony.











Congratulations to the Richmond Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Band! On Friday, March 1st, the 7th and 8th Grade combined Concert Band participated in the MSBOA District 16 Band Festival at Lakeview High School. The band was awarded a strong First Division rating from the panel of four adjudicators in the class D division, earning 18 out of 20 possible A's in the various adjudicated categories. Their performance was very well received by the audience and the adjudicators. Congratulations to the students on their outstanding performance to conclude a great festival season!


Thank you to those that donated to Paws for a Cause! 🐾 We collected over 100 items to donate to Macomb County Animal Control! NJHS donated $100 as well. Congratulations to Madison for winning the raffle. Thank you again for your support!





Richmond Community Schools is proud to announce Ms. Amanda Turpin as our 2024 Macomb Reads Literacy Ambassador! She will get the opportunity to represent our district and collaborate with other representatives to improve literacy instruction across the entire county. Yesterday, the Buchanan/Fitzgerald team had their STEM station day where they got to create blinky light greeting cards, program rovers to explore Mars, attempt to land a plane in a flight simulator, and even solve a crime using chromatography!











Ms. Bercel and Ms. Churchill’s 6th grade Scientists investigated the phenomena question, “Why do some things explode?” This was part of their review on the properties of different states of matter.

5th graders in the Schodowski/Fitzgerald group had the opportunity to tour the Coast Guard facility at Starbase today, as well as take part in an energy investigation and “Pop Goes the Fizz!” experiment.











Today we say goodbye to our Kangaroo Bus Driver. Mr. Tim has been an amazing part of our team. Not only a bus driver, a trainer and building monitor at the H.S. Tim has made many contributions to our department, stepping up to cover trips when needed. He will be truly missed by everyone. We wish you the best of luck.
