RMS Builders Club has been on a roll this past month!
They successfully installed a Little Free Library, organized a school grounds clean-up after Spring Break, and last week, they held a special pinning ceremony to officially induct new members into Builders Club International.

Five RMS band students were selected and participated in MSBOA District 16 Honors Band. Held at Lakeview High School, these students learned new music in just seven hours of rehearsal and performed along side of some of the best middle school musicians in the area. Congratulations to these outstanding musicians!

Students in Mrs. Zimmer’s 8th grade ELA classes worked on their speaking and listening skills through Socratic Seminars. Students did a wonderful job discussing the informational articles they have been reading over the last few weeks!









The RHS freshman class met with Ms. Retman, the student advocate, to work on good communication skills. Partners were blindfolded and had to make their way through a "minefield", being lead by the guidance of their peers.

Students in 6th grade STEAM Innovations are currently exploring STEM careers using EverFi program. Students solve simulated problems and answer questions and assessments to become STEM certified. The program produces various STEM careers that may be a good fit based on questions and responses throughout the units.






Students in Ms. Gallagher’s Augmented and Virtual Reality course are creating merge cube content that could be used to teach lower elementary students about the 4 seasons. Merge cube is used to project content in Augmented Reality. This is like the content used in social media, marketing, and educational formats.

Our RMS Builder's Club sponsored by the Kiwanis Metro Detroit Young Professionals installed a Free Little Library in our courtyard today. They also did a ground clean-up in celebration of Earth Day!











This week, Mrs. Buchanan’s 5th graders learned about decomposers by completing an investigation with live red worms! Teacher cadets Ms. Gabi and Ms. Lily joined in on the fun as the class discovered the important roles decomposers play within an ecosystem.
