RMS Spanish 1 students enjoyed the Kagan strategy "inside outside circles."
Students greeted each partner, asked for favorite colors, told their own favorite color, and bid each other farewell. ALL in Spanish. Mrs. Gardner witnessed a lot of encouragement between partners and teams! Great job!




Fourth grade STEAM students started off their physics unit by designing and building a rocket out of legos. They will learn about potential and kinetic energy, as well as how gravity affects the movement of certain objects. Way to go fourth grade engineers!! 🚀







Fifth grade STEAM students started out their Force and Motion unit by designing and building a Lego car. They used the engineering process to ask, imagine, plan, create, test, and improve their cars. They will apply what they learned from the Lego car challenge to construct a car made completely out of pasta! Great job 5th grade engineers! 🚗



Mrs. Buchanan’s 5th grade math students kicked off their first math lesson of the year by using the Kagan strategy “Showdown!” to review place value.

Ms. Hann’s class made “friend wanted” posters describing the type of friend they are looking for. Students then read each other’s posters to see if they would make a great friend to someone else! If they felt they fit the qualifications, they lifted the sticky note to reveal the name of a potential friend!





6th grade scientists in Ms. Churchill’s class reviewed lab procedures that will be used throughout the year. Using play dough, they created a model for their classmates to guess the rule. They were so creative!









Mrs. Mayer’s Science classes completed their first skills lab of the year today!











Mrs. Munro’s class had a wonderful first week. They spent time team building, saving Fred, building towers, and finished the week with the 4th Day of 4th Grade.







Mrs. Selby’s students had a wonderful first week of 4th grade! ✏️📚📓
Some highlights: sharing 4 special items on the 4th day of 4th grade, building notecard towers with things they have in common with table mates & a STEM challenge for the tallest structure.










Students in Mrs. Jahr's Social Studies classes created Social Contracts this week to establish expected behaviors. Today they, they collaborated to demonstrate the behavioral norms with skits











Boys Soccer scored thier first win of the season against Algonac yesterday.

Mrs. Mayer’s 7th and 8th grade Science classes had fun tackling two tough challenges today! First, partners worked together to safely “Escape from the Amazon!” Then students faced the daunting “Stack ‘Em Up” challenge which required four classmates to work together while moving perfectly in sync with one another! It’s going to be a great year of learning!











Ms. Hann’s class used planning and teamwork to save Fred!







Mrs. DeLange’s class worked hard today and used teamwork to Save Fred! Good work, class!











Students in Ms. Gallagher’s classes participated in a class building Kagan activity. Students introduced themselves, shared some things about themselves, and partners introduced them to another group of students. Great first day of school!







Mrs. Schodowskis classes shared summer memories using the Inside Outside circle sharing strategy.
