Kangaroo bus pm route issue yesterday has been resolved. Clarifying students were not in any immediate danger. Bus driver was following bus safety protocol. The remaining students were transferred to another bus and brought home safely. We apologize for the late delivery home.

Have you wondered where our school district’s funding comes from or how resources are allocated or if Richmond is a responsible steward of your taxpayer dollars? You're invited to tonight's "Community Conversation" on school finance - 6:30pm at RHS. Those in attendance will be entered to win a $25 Hamlin Pub gift card.

Please see the flyer about our RMS canned food drive!

With the holiday season fast approaching, it's time again for the Richmond Community School's Sandy's Kids Program. Sandy's Kids is a program that was created over 20 years ago by a school social worker at Richmond Community Schools to assist families in need with getting their students clothing items and toys during the holiday season. Each year, the number of families that the Sandy’s Kids program has been able to help has grown. Last year, 33 families (77 students) in our district received help during the holiday season.
If you are in need of help this holiday season or would like to support, please contact one of the social workers in the district for assistance.
Today at RHS, two US Marine recruiters came during lunch to answer any student questions and give out information. They challenged students to lift a 35 pound ammunition box replica to give them an idea of what it’s like to go through Marine training.
On this Veterans Day, we thank them- and ALL VETERANS- for both their visit and, more importantly, for their service!

Ms. Dorsey’s class had the opportunity to thank a veteran in person today when Ms. Smith, one of the school social workers, visited our classroom and told us a little bit about her time in the Marine Corps. Thank you, Ms. Smith and all the veterans who have served our country!

Surprise RMS Students! Tomorrow, November 1, 2024 will be a pajama day! Wear your comfy, school appropriate pajamas! The perfect end to Halloween week!
