Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to make you aware of an intermittent phone service issue currently affecting Richmond Community Schools. At this time, our district is experiencing sporadic difficulties making outbound calls, particularly to phone numbers on T-Mobile and AT&T networks.
Incoming calls to the district remain fully operational, and families and community members are still able to reach our buildings without interruption. However, our ability to place outgoing calls to some carriers is inconsistent.
Frontier Communications, our service provider, has notified us that the issue stems from a downstream carrier, Inteliquent, which manages routing between networks. Inteliquent is actively investigating the problem and working to restore normal call functionality. Frontier continues to monitor the situation closely and is supporting their efforts to reach a resolution as quickly as possible.
We will share additional updates as more information becomes available. In the meantime, if you are expecting a call from the district or require timely communication, we recommend using alternative methods such as email.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued partnership as we work through this temporary disruption.
Sincerely,
Brian J. Walmsley, Ed.S.
Superintendent
