I started teaching in Richmond during the 1990-91 school year.
Choosing a career in teaching was easy. I enjoyed high school and I
liked my teachers. Other than my parents, my teachers were some of the
most influential people in my life. It is a thrill for me to get to know a
new group of students every year, challenge them to learn science, and
hopefully be a positive influence in their education.
Outside of the Classroom:
In addition to my teaching duties I am also the Freshman Class Advisor, CPR Team member and the vice president of the
REA.
I am also a member of the National Science Teachers Association, The
Michigan Science Teachers Association, and the Michigan Association for
Computer Users in Learning.
I have three adult children Nichole
(teacher), Noelle (dietician), and Caleb (Army). I like working out and
riding my specialized road bike (bicycle). I also enjoy playing the
drums when I get a chance. I am also a huge Michigan Wolverine fan. Go
Blue!!!
