I started teaching in 1992 as a long-term substitute in Utica, MI at Stevenson High School
I began my full-time teaching position at Richmond High School in 1993-present
I chose the field of education because school was an enjoyable
experience for me. I had many wonderful teachers throughout my
elementary and secondary years. My teachers encouraged me by displaying
their passion for the job and they made it seem very interesting.
Outside of the classroom:
I am the co-adviser of the Student Government at RHS. I have served on
the School Improvement Committee and like to attend many of the
sporting events and plays.
In my career at RHS I earned the title of "Teacher of the Year" as a representative of Macomb County and Richmond Schools.
Personal Note:
Spending time with my family, walking my dog, boating and fitness. I have been fortunate to have studied in Spain, and have also
visited the countries of Germany, France, England and Morocco. These
trips have given me great knowledge and many cultural experiences to
share with my students.
