Guaranteed Learning for All Students

Welcome to Will L. Lee Elementary School.

Will L. Lee Elementary houses the District's kindergarten through fourth grade students and an Early Childhood Learning Center.  The Center offers a three and four year old preschool, a Great Start Readiness Program (G.S.R.P.), and Head Start.

Thanks to the Richmond Community, Lee students in kindergarten and first grade will have access to ten tablets for small group use, along with a Smart Table in each classroom.  Second grade students will each get a tablet to use in the classroom, while the third and fourth grade students each get a notebook that they will be able to use at school and at home.

In compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education amendments of 1972, Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, Title II of the Americans with Disability Act of 1990, and Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act of 1977, it is the policy of the Richmond Community School District that no person shall, on the basis of race, color, religion ,military status, national origin or ancestry, sex (including sexual orientation or transgender identity), disability, age (except as authorized by law,) height, weight, or marital status be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to, discrimination during any program, activity, service or employment. Kindergarten Round-up will begin with a dinner provided by the Food Service Department at 6:30 pm in the Lee Elementary School Cafeteria followed by information regarding:

 

  • Kindergarten Curriculum
  • Registration Process
  • Vision & Hearing Requirements
  • Immunization Requirements
  • Childcare Options
  • Breakfast & Lunch Programs
  • Transportation

 

Class of 2030 students and their parents will have an opportunity to visit Kindergarten classrooms following the presentation.

 

Class of 2030 students will receive a free t-shirt. Families that complete the registration process at Kindergarten Round-up will also receive a coupon for a free book to redeem at the Book Fair, located in the Media Center.

will be available that evening

 

Enrollment Packets are available on Richmond Community Schools’ website as well as that evening.

 

To register, students must be 5 on or before September 1, 2017. Students turning five after September 1st but on or before December 1st may apply to the Superintendent for a waiver.

 

To complete the registration process, please bring the following:

 

  1. Original Birth Certificate
  2. Immunization Record
  3. Two (2) Proofs of Residency

--Tax Bill

--Lease/Purchase Agreement

--Utility Bill

--Driver’s License/State ID

--Voter Registration

--Affidavit* / Power of Attorney

 

* If you are living with another family, the person you are living with must be present during the registration process.
