Currently attending Saginaw Valley State University studying Special Education Leadership

Licensed Master Social Worker- State of MI
I have been working as a School Social Worker for 14 years. Prior to working in the schools, I worked as a counselor and therapist in the mental health field for 15 years. My background is in adolescent and family therapy, crisis and substance abuse counseling.
I am a "relationship" oriented therapist by training. I have always felt a drive to help others but through my work, I have seen the power and importance of a positive working relationship with students and their parents. I believe that any problem can be resolved by working together to a positive end. I try to live by that belief everyday.
I am married and have two daughters. My oldest daughter is employed as a speech pathologist in Juneau, Alaska. My youngest daughter is a senior at Grand Valley State University. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
