Margaret Teltow, President

Term: January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2020
Margaret Teltow has lived in Richmond since 1971 and is a Richmond High School graduate.  She has an associates degree in legal/office administration from Ferris State University.  She was employed as a legal secretary for many years and is currently employed through the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD).  She is serving her fourth term as a board member, having previously served for three terms from 1991-2014.  She lives in Casco Township with her husband, Chuck.


 
Dan Hill, Vice President

Dan Hill is married with four children.  He has lived in Richmond for eight years and has great pride in the Richmond community and school district. He has over fifteen years experience in working with his family business and currently works for HTWS.

Bridget Smith, Secretary

Term:  January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2020
Bridget Smith has been a resident of Richmond for ten years.  She has over twelve years of experience in a professional education environment working as an elementary teacher.  Her passion is education and she believes all students deserve the best education and opportunities possible.  Bridget is married with two children.  Her daughter attends Lee Elementary and her son is a future "Blue Devil".
 
Jeffrey Theut, Treasurer

Term July 1, 2013 to December 31, 2018
Jeffrey is a 1992 graduate from Richmond Community Schools and has lived in the area since 1988.  He is married and has two daughters who attend Richmond Schools.  He is currently the Laser Systems Manager for KUKA Systems and is a decorated Veteran from the U.S. Coast Guard.

 
 
Traci Bartell, Trustee

Traci Bartell, a Columbus Township resident, is proud to be serving on the RCS Board of Education. Representing the
third generation of her family to graduate from Richmond High School, she feels strongly that providing children with a
whole and high quality education is the most 
important thing a community can accomplish. Traci has been in the
education field for over twenty years. She currently teaches at Oak Arbor School in Rochester Hills and has a private 
voice and piano studio.


 

Andrew Oderkirk, Trustee

Term: January 1, 2015 to 12/31/2018 (filled partial term)
Andy Oderkirk has lived in Richmond since 2003 with his wife Michele and their three children.  He is a native of Upstate New York where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Earth Sciences at SUNY Brockport.  He also has an MBA from Lawrence Technological University.  He retired from the United States Army in December 2012 following a 29 year career.  Andy currently works as a site manager in Sterling Heights.




Kristine Furtaw, Trustee

Term: January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2020

Kristine Furtaw has lived in the Richmond School District since 1997. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Administration from Central Michigan University and later returned to school to earn her Masters in Business Administration Degree from University of Phoenix. Kristine currently works at Ross Education, LLC as a Vice President for the South Eastern/Thumb Region where she plays a daily role in employee and student relations, policy making and auditing. She also serves as a board member for the Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools. Kristine feels good communication is the key to any good working relationship. She is a strong advocate of community engagement and giving educators the support they need to assist all children in our district in receiving a quality education.  Kristine resides in Columbus Township with her husband and 2 children.
