Hello My Name Is...
Ms. Ashley Evard
(586)727-2509 Ext. 1303
I am highly qualified to teach grades K-8, in a self contained classroom. I am currently teaching Spanish in grades K-4.
Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education
Adrian College, in Adrian, MI
I started teaching in Michigan in 2012 but before that, I spent two years teaching English to children in South Korea. I also spent one year abroad in Spain learning about the Spanish language and culture.
I always knew I wanted to become a teacher. I have several younger siblings and as we grew up, we would play school. Many teachers made a real impact on me while I was a student in K-12 public schools. My second grade teacher, Mrs. Carlin, was always so kind and approachable. My high school chemistry teacher, Mr. Gartrell, had a knack for taking complicated material and making it easy to understand. My high school senior government teacher, Ms. Morgan, was eccentric and quirky, and made the material come alive. I try to embody the things I learned from these teachers when I am in a classroom.
Outside of the Classroom:
In addition to my teaching duties, I am a member of the PBiS Team aimed at helping students to be positive role models and make good choices.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, running or hiking, curled up with a good book, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
