I am highly qualified to teach kindergarten through eighth grade. I am currently teaching second grade.

I started teaching in 1989
I chose to go into education to help young people reach their fullest potential. I believe all students can thrive given positive character education and a solid academic base. I believe in teaching the whole child and I value each student as a gift in my life.
In addition to teaching, I am a member of the School Improvement Team, Technology Committee, Science Committee, and Balanced Literacy Committee.
Outside of Richmond I belong to several professional organizations like MACUL. I am a volunteer catechist. I have completed the training for the 21 things for the 21st Century Teacher and received college credit toward my continuing education. I have completed Teacher Leader Cohort 3.
I have two daughters that are college graduates from GVSU and WMU. Both Julia and Ashley are graduates of Richmond Community Schools. I have been a community member of Richmond for 24 years and married to my husband Kevin for 29 years. I love fitness, golf, and reading. I feel blessed to work with colleagues and students in the Richmond Community Schools.
