Blackboard is an online learning tool that allows students to generate
their own knowledge through online research, collaborative learning, and
discussion forums. Using Blackboard allows the teacher to "share" the
power of learning. Due to the student interactions that take place,
Blackboard requires a username and password to enter. Be sure to log
into the site regularly (www.bb91.misd.net). Your user name
is ric followed by your student number (for example, ric232323), and
your password will be the last four digits of your home phone number. If you don't have a home phone number then the password is 12345.

Choosing a career in teaching was easy. I enjoyed high school and I
liked my teachers. Other than my parents, my teachers were some of the
most influential people in my life. It is a thrill to me to get to know a
new group of students every year, challenge them to learn science, and
hopefully be a positive influence in their education.
Outside of the Classroom:

I am also a member of the National Science Teachers Association, The

riding my specialized road bike (bicycle). I also enjoy playing the
drums when I get a chance. I am also a huge Michigan Wolverine fan. Go
